December 24th

Born today on the 24th, December :

Born to celebrations, this glittering star on top of the tree has been partying ever since. Good humoured and kind, they’ll make any occasion special and scatter their money about like clouds of golden confetti. If 24 isn’t in charge of the office Christmas party, he should be because nobody else does it as well. Both sexes put the swank into celebration and the zing into swing. And people born on this day dance like a dream. Many December birthday children are gloomy, but somehow the changeling December 24 zoomed down to earth with a Capricornucopia of personal gifts as rich as those brought by the Three Kings to Bethlehem. They can sing or play a musical instrument, often so well they may become professional. Many are great sportsmen. Decorative themselves, they make their surroundings attractive with just the flick of a finger. These are the family members who hold relatives together and always come up with a positive solution. And like many others born around this time, they cook like a dream. When it comes to sex it’s a different matter for December 24. There’s nothing sweetly friendly about their passion. They fall hard, can easily become addicted to the love of their life. And can’t be bothered with the folderols of courtship and lovemaking which puts them at a disadvantage when in competition with others who can. Love is often the undoing of this Christmas Eve child. No day suffers the pain of a broken heart more agonisingly or for greater lengths of time. In some cases a broken love affair is so powerful an influence that they may throw up their life and work and move far away or even abroad in order to start again. But the image of their lost love remains branded on their hearts and any lover who follows must accept that December 24 holds a flame – or maybe a flicker -forever in memory of whoever cruelly betrayed them.

Body :

Here’s a folderol worth bothering with to entertain a lover. Chocolate Fruit. Take 375g selected fruit, anything hard enough to be dipped without squishing. Grapes, cherries, strawberries, apricot halves – or even nuts. 100g plain dessert chocolate, 100g caster sugar, 50ml single cream, pinch cream of tartar, oil. Heat sugar, cream, cream of tartar, stirring, then bring to boil and continue until mixture is golden brown. Melt chocolate. Dip one half fruit in caramel and other side in chocolate. Place on oiled tray to set. Take to bed with a bottle of champagne and expect a sweet sensation.

Mind :

Everybody loves and loses love. If, like Heathcliff, you let this ruin your life, you are closing the door to other joys and taking a decision to live in the past. Cherish the memory but move on

The December 24th person has two things that affect them all their life the first is the ruling planet for this day, Venus which gives them a sense of values and a romantic outlook on life. The second is Saturn, the ruling planet for this day. This causes the December 24th person a multifarious of challenges in their lifetime. They are clairvoyant in most chart configurations.
A look ahead; Confusion can only take place in a part of our mind we do not understand.

If You Were Born Today, December 24: You are extremely caring and responsible with those you love. You are determined and stubborn at times, sometimes struggling with worries and insecurities. You have true respect for anything that has withstood the test of time, and for (most of) those older than you. You are excellent with design and anything that requires order and balance, as you have an eye for these things. You have all of the ingredients for attracting financial success.

Ruled by number 6 and the planet Venus, you are smart, talented, energetic, attractive, accommodating, diplomatic & highly practical person. You are a great thinker and people from various walks of life seek your advice, but you need to check your tendency to behave too outspoken, jealous and restless at times. This year you would develop very strong opinions on how important work should be completed. Some of your supporters however would not agree to your methods of doing things. You should put your thoughts in front of them in a positive manner to win their confidence. You would also increase your income through work, which you would complete at home. New romance could develop for some during this period. Relationship with your spouse would be healthy and highly cordial. Some tension and anxiety due to health of your parents may mar the peace at home. Your brother or sister would be very helpful in finishing your pending tasks. The months of February, April, July and December would be significant.

Lucky Days Friday, Thursday & Tuesday
Lucky Stones Diamond & Emerald
Lucky Colours White, sea green, cream, light blue & rose
Lucky Numbers 6,5,3 & 9

For those of us born on December 24:
This year on your birthday, focus on the simple things because in the end, they will bring you the most pleasure. The mass media likes to fill your head with all kinds of unobtainable quests to get you money, claiming that you can have your dreams if you pay for them first. This almost never works, but if you look at the things that really make you happy – health, laughter, and love – you don’t need a dime to help you obtain them. By keeping it simple on your birthday you begin a new path void of the confusion and pressures of media and instead on the path to your birthday dreams.

A Capricorn born on December 24 is a quixotic, changeable individual that is as much an enigma to themselves as to everyone else. They have magnetism and the potential to lead but are often confused about priorities and can end up following someone less talented than themselves. They don’t give way to the usual Capricornian obsession to follow the status quo.
Capricorn Information for December 24

You should embrace:
Authority, magnanimity, decision-making

You should avoid:
Irrationality, instability, self-destructive habits

Friends and Lovers

Because December 24 natives hide their feelings, it’s impossible for others to understand them emotionally. They develop romantic fascinations easily and may find it difficult to know what they want from love. They enjoy being seen with an attractive partner, and they may confuse this with love.

Children and Family

The dark side of people born on this date usually has roots in childhood. They may feel they failed to receive needed nurturing and may be self-critical as a result. As parents, they are usually indulgent but often understand the emotional needs of their child.

Health

People born on this date like to look their best, and if that requires following a complicated health and fitness regimen, they are all for it. They have a love/hate relationship with food. Paradoxically, their amazing self-discipline often goes hand in hand with fad dieting, as they try to prove just how much willpower they possess.

Career and Finances

Like other people of their sign, December 24 people are hard workers who weather the sacrifices that come with success. They can follow rules they don’t agree with, because they know self-discipline usually pays off. December 24 people are good financial planners and money managers. They aren’t afraid to take risks.

Dreams and Goals

People born on this date are a combination of free-wheeling and conservative. They know they’re most likely to succeed by alternating methods — and success is the goal. This may have to do with business, but for some it means family life, personal power, or even spiritual enrichment. These people hitch their dreams to a star.

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, I thought I’d take a moment to reflect on some things over the last year that I’m most thankful for.

I am thankful my health. Without my health I would not be able to do all that I do.

I am thankful my family. Together this year we have shared trials, tribulations and triumphs.

I am thankful that magic ingredient! It’s belief. I know that any obstacle I have encountered was just a mirage that would dissipate when I actually reached it.

I am thankful for being creative. I have been able to create many great ideas this year.

I am thankful for participating in National Novel Writing Month, 58299 words written in ten days.

I am thankful for our neighbors. Without their kindness we would not have had anything to eat this week, or a turkey for thanksgiving.

I am thankful for all my readers, my business clients, and my associates. May your thanksgiving be as blessed as ours.

What are you most thankful for?

Good leadership involves responsibility to the welfare of the group, which means that some people will get angry at your actions and decisions. It’s inevitable, if you’re honorable. Trying to get everyone to like you is a sign of mediocrity: you’ll avoid the tough decisions, you’ll avoid confronting the people who need to be confronted, and you’ll avoid offering differential rewards based on differential performance because some people might get upset.

Ironically, by procrastinating on the difficult choices, by trying not to get anyone mad, and by treating everyone equally “nicely” regardless of their contributions, you’ll simply ensure that the only people you’ll wind up angering are the most creative and productive people in the organization.

An impressive lineup of guests will join Mazzuca, including BSA National President John Gottschalk, National Commissioner Tico Perez, and AT&T Chairman, President, and CEO Randall Stephenson, the BSA’s 100th Anniversary Chairman. And after starting the celebration, they’ll all take questions from you and other volunteers.

Submit your questions in advance when you RSVP at the link above.

If you’re looking for a way to pass the time between now and the Kick-Off Rally, check out the 100th Anniversary programs already under way. Click here to see the entire list.

Then, on Dec. 10, switch on your computer and catch some of the energy and excitement at the official opening ceremony of the BSA’s yearlong birthday celebration.

Smashwords has just announced that authors who publish through its system may choose to have their books distributed through the Kindle Store. This is big news indeed for writers seeking publication and distribution. Details of the arrangements with Amazon and its authors are spelled out in its announcement press release. With this development, Smashwords now can publish to all of the major e-book formats, making an author’s book available on virtually all current e-book readers.

By the way, did you know that one week ago, Amazon made available to the public a FREE downloadable reader for Kindle books on one’s PC. One can now read Kindle titles without having to purchase the expensive reader.

As you already know, the Kindle Reader has gone international, with its e-book readers to be available in many countries. There was a hitch with Canada, however. This problem has been resolved, as explained in a post on the Publisher’s Weekly daily blog.

Smashwords has also announced with the past few days distribution arrangements with two major international ebook distributors. Read the announcement about arrangements with Shortcovers, a major online distributor. We’ve already announced the acquisition of BookHabit by Smashwords, but here’s a full announcement of this development.

LATEST NEWS ABOUT BARNES AND NOBLE’S NOOK READER: Barnes and Noble has just announced that its new Nook e-book reader has already sold out, within days of its introduction. The company is now taking pre-orders for delivery in January.

The Beatles are finally releasing their remastered catalog in digital form–both high-quality FLAC files and 320-Kbps MP3s.

The box set includes fourteen albums, fourteen short documentaries, cover art, and expanded liner notes, and will go for $280.

The ordering page for the apple doesn’t say anything about whether it’s easy to get the music onto an iPod or other device.

Not being available for download has become a Beatles trademark. The apple lets them go digital while keeping the tradition alive.
